Now you got 3 good reasons to take a shot- coffee shot that is. On this particular day they introduce a Panama: Hartmann Honeyed coffee. It is worth it to drive 300 miles or further to partake of these delectable delights!

Irahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11664431573488900092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27376859.post-25295996792344415192011-04-21T13:55:00.000-07:002011-03-24T07:54:14.784-07:00Old Town Market Cafe San Diego CA

Old Town Market Cafe

Category: Food Coffee & Tea Coffee & Tea

4010 Twiggs St
(at San Diego Ave)
San Diego, CA 92110
Neighborhood: Old Town
Here what
Stephanie H. of San Diego, CA wrote

Old Town has long been one of my favorite spots to simply relax and stroll around on a beautiful day. The San Diego Old Town Market Cafe is located at the front of the SD Old Town Market, right in front of where the Trolley buses line up on Twiggs Street. Yep, this isn't so much a 'cafe' so to speak since it's actually this little hole in the wall coffee stand. But not so fast...it's way better than your average coffee stand or coffee shop. Come and see the 2,000 year old Cross. The old rugged cross on the property, situated on the patio offers a place of reflection, and time to meditate on the real life of Christ. The Cross is carbon dated 2,000 years, it's what known as a Sinker Cypress. Andy White the owner has an interesting story about the process and construction of the hand hewed cross. Seems a gentleman, name unknown to me at this writing, was commissioned had promised to construct a cross for Andy. As I believe he mentioned about six months are so later there was no word on the progress of the cross, so he just considered that it was a task not to be completed. Well all of a sudden, Andy finds out why it seemed to take so long, the artist had been laboring constantly when he had free time, diving along the Pearl river in Louisiana getting samples from many Cypress sinker logs. Not only did he search for a good piece he also would take a sample that he found and then have it carbon dated. Finally the friend finds the perfect specimen a Cypress sinker log that he meticulously had to towed in the water to get ashore, and then he began the arduous work to finish a hand hewed cross no nails or modern manufacturing. That presents another story, ask Andy while you having a great cup of coffee. Oh by the way that's another unusual and unique story, the one about his coffee roaster.
Irahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11664431573488900092noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27376859.post-67400083832529648542008-12-17T08:46:00.000-08:002008-12-17T08:48:45.400-08:00Best Restaurant 2009 Las VegasGaetano's Ristorante
is just the place to visit
10271
S. From the hustle of Full City during the morning rush to the laid-back impromptu music sessions at Out Of The Fog. All offer pastries and buns to go with the coffee and some have a full-fledged menu. These coffee shops are listed in order of our preference.

There are many more smaller cafes that sell coffee, but these are our favourite specialist coffee houses. Some of these companies, like Starbucks and Allann Bros, have more than one location in Eugene. We have listed the most popular and more interesting ones.* - denotes a cybercafe, so you can get wired in more ways than one.

Allann Bros Beanery and Coffeehouse

152 W.5th Ave & 2465 Hilyard Street, EugeneTheir coffee and tea is excellent, but you really have to try their smoothies and coffee coolers. They are awesome. It's a very spacious store with lots of wood and ample seating. If we had been asked, we would have agreed when it was voted Best Place to Go Alone to Think, Read or Write. Don't think it is full of sad folks sitting by themselves, though. There is a real mix at this coffee house.
Barry's Espresso and Bakery

57 W 29th Ave (Inside the Willamette Plaza)A recent move into the Rite Aid pharmacy building on 29th and Willamette hasn't deterred the loyal following of Barry's Espresso and Bakery. Offering indoor and outdoor seating, Barry's is the perfect place to go for a good chat and a great nosh.
The Buzz Coffeehouse

Erb Memorial Union Lower Level (Corner of 13th and University Street)Located in the Erb Memorial Union, at the heart of the University of Oregon campus, The Buzz coffeehouse is a source of activity from opening until closing. Students come breezing through, grabbing their third mocha of the morning before they have to sit through a two-hour lecture, while others curl up with a book or homework assignment on one of the comfy couches. The all-student counter staff throws on their favorite music while they serve up Torrefazione Italia blended coffee, specialty drinks, teas, juices and soda. Sandwiches, soups, salads and pastries are also on the menu. Attached to the EMU recreation center, offering students some wind-down time with pool tables and an arcade, The Buzz is a favorite university hangout.
The Buzz Net Café*

1860 E 13th Ave (At the intersection of 13th and Franklin Blvd)Looking for a place to keep up your contacts while you're on the road? Overstuffed couches and mismatched wooden tables characterize the cozy atmosphere. Pictorial works like San Francisco from Above and books like The Guinness Book of World Records 2000 Edition or Time's Our Century are stacked up on end tables. A chess game is set up on a corner table waiting for the cunning maneuvers of a seasoned strategist or the frustrated touch of a novice.
